Ok, I realize this post and the prior post both reference the UK. What can I say, when it comes to music and dance, they’ve always been ahead of the curve…so I’m always watching closely what’s going on over there. Plus, it’s a coincidence that I found this resource right after that video

javascript:void(0)I admit, I love working with people who are in love. It just oozes over and fills me up!
I love working with wedding couples (I’ve taught hundreds of them)because they are so in love and such a great reminder of what romance is all about. My motto is — “Dancing is making love to music.” Your wedding dance can be the first step to making love in every area of your life.
One of the things I focus on with couples is to meet each other in their dance (and in life) with a conscious loving touch. Each time you come together to dance their is an opportunity to share the love you feel for each other. There’s a lot to do around wedding planning time, so it’s a great practice to use your dance lessons as a way of connecting on a deeper level.
When you get busy, full of things-to-do and places-to-be. It’s easy to forget the present moment. The dance is a metaphor for everything in life, so I draw a parallel to when you are learning a new step to music and you get so caught up in how to do the step that you grab your partner and just start plowing through it without any conscious awareness of the other person.
Remember each time you touch each other you are communicating. Make it a practice that each time you touch your partner, no matter how small or insignificant a gesture it may seem on the outside that on the inside you are communicating, “I love you, you are precious to me, I appreciate you.” If you get in the habit of this now, you’ll find that each touch you and your partner share for years to come will bring you right back to that special feeling.
Wedding Dance…learning to dance for your wedding need not be stressful. It should be fun, relaxed and one of the highlights of your engagement period. If you really go for it, you’ll learn a skill that will last you a lifetime. Here I’ll discuss all the benefits of learning to dance for your wedding as well as give you lots of tips and advice for how to look fabulous when all eyes are on you.
Stay tuned…much more to come soon!
